From there, we guide you through the process with scheduled planning meetings every three months, each with clear goals and next steps to keep things moving without feeling overwhelming.

We ask the right questions at the right time, track details so nothing falls through the cracks, and keep you on pace with organized to-do lists and due dates. Our role is to stay ahead of the planning so you don’t have to worry about what might be missing — you’re supported, informed, and guided every step of the way.

How do we keep guests informed without feeling overwhelmed?

Isla Mujeres offers a wide range of beautiful locations, from private beach clubs to intimate rental villas. We help you understand how each option functions in real life — not just how it looks — so your day flows naturally and feels intentional.


Can we bring our own officiant or minister?

Yes. Many couples choose to have a close friend or family member officiate their ceremony, and we welcome that.

We’ll help ensure the ceremony feels personal, meaningful, and well-organized, while also guiding you through any logistical considerations so everything runs smoothly on the day itself.


Can we hire vendors outside of SunHorse Weddings?

Yes, couples are welcome to bring in outside vendors if they choose. However, we do provide a list of trusted vendors from photographers and videographers to hair and make-up stylists to dessert carts and fireworks. We have a fantastic line-up of vendors for every aspect of the wedding. When you book your vendors through us, we manage every one so you do not need to worry about miscommunications or scheduling conflicts.


What types of flowers are available for destination weddings on Isla Mujeres?

We source our florals from professional distributers in Cancun as there are not local growers in this region of Mexico. Commonly available options include roses, mini roses, lisianthas, tulips, gerber daisies, astromerias, irises, orchids, calla lilies, and a variety of tropical lilies and greenery.

We encourage couples to share inspiration photos and color preferences, and we’ll guide you on what’s locally available, seasonally appropriate, and best suited to your overall design and budget. Our approach is always collaborative — balancing vision with practicality so the result feels effortless and cohesive.


Do you help with events beyond the wedding day?

Yes. For most couples, the wedding is just one part of a larger experience.

We help plan and coordinate wedding-week and multi-day events, such as welcome dinners, rehearsal dinner, golf cart bar crawls around the island, honeymoon brunches, catamaran snorkel or sunset cruises, Taco & Margarita Walking Tour, group yoga classes, and other meaningful group gatherings.  For many of the tour style of events, your guests will gladly pay for themselves so you do not have to budget for it.
