How is SunHorse Weddings different from the other wedding planners on Isla Mujeres or in Cancun?
We are the only independent, full-service, U.S. based wedding planning firm on Isla Mujeres. We are dedicated to giving you individualized service and a high quality experience. We are available to you via our toll-free phone number anytime you have questions. Also, as opposed to some other coordinators, our office is located on Isla Mujeres and all our coordinators live and work on Isla Mujeres full-time. We know the island vendors, establishments and services firsthand.

Can we choose where we have the ceremony and the reception?
Of course! We will recommend a venue to you depending on your wedding size, your style and budget, but we allow you to make the final decisions. Our favorite locations are the private Zama Beach Club and Mirada Beach Club as well as for smaller weddings Casa Mimosa or Sunset Grill on North Beach.

What if we want to bring our own minister?
Yes, many couples decide to personalize their wedding by having a close friend or a family member preside over the ceremony. That is perfectly fine.

What if we want to hire vendors directly?
Yes, you can hire a vendor outside of our services, but a Vendor Release Form must be signed for each vendor you bring. This form states that SunHorse Weddings is not responsible for scheduling or confirming the vendor, for ensuring the quality of that vendor, nor will we be responsible for directing them on the day of the wedding.

What types of flowers can I choose from for my wedding?
We create many bouquets using roses, mini roses, iris, gerber daisies, astromerias, tropical lilies, oriental lilies, orchids and cream calla lilies. Easy to find colors are white, yellow, orange, pinks and red. There are some other tropical blooming plants that could yield some beautiful bouquets as well. We want your bouquet to be exactly what you want, so we encourage you to send us photos of bouquets that you like and we will let you know what we can do.

We help you plan not only your wedding, but we can assist you with your Welcome Dinner, honeymoon brunch, snorkel/sunset cruise and other group activities.
